How Does Shakespeare Use Conflict in Romeo and Juliet Act.
The play 'Romeo and Juliet' has to have a conflict because; it is one of the main themes in the play. The disagreements and fight between the two family, that is Capulet and he Montague, their children Romeo and Juliet who truly were in love with each other end up dying. So, after this incident, the quarrels stop between the two families.Romeo who is a member of the Montague family is key to the idea of conflict and brings together both physical and emotional conflicts. He is himself suffering inner emotional conflict because of his love for a woman who “hath forsworn to love” and so cannot return his love.In conclusion, Shakespeare presents conflict in “Romeo and Juliet” by showing how conflict between characters can affects events in the play. The family feud between the Capulets and the Montagues is the main reason for all the conflict and is responsible for six deaths in the span of five days.
Shakesphere’s Romeo and Juliet is essentially known as love story, although, it is entwined with different types of conflict, and this is what I will be examining throughout this essay. The Prologue is a fourteen line sonnet and would have been read to the audience providing an introduction to the play.In Romeo and Juliet shakespeare shows that the Capulets and Montagues once two feuding families can come together after several losses of their family members.
Now Romeo and Juliet face pain because Romeo’s best friend is dead and so is Juliet’s cousin. Shakespeare was trying to show us that their love is a tragedy because they have to defeat the fact that Romeo had just killed Juliet’s Cousin.
